The Foundation Program in Modern Kadampa Buddhism is open to anyone who would like an opportunity to deepen their understanding and experience of Buddhism through a systematic study.
Starting Sunday 22 Oct 2017 on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s book “Joyful Path of Good Fortune”.
Joyful Path of Good Fortune explains the complete Buddhist path of enlightenment. It is a comprehensive presentation of every step of the path – from how to listen with our hearts and how to sit for meditation, through to developing the deepest concentrations and the most profound insights.
Anyone who studies this book will establish the best possible foundation for their spiritual journey. It answers our questions on every topic Buddha taught, and helps our mind open to new questions that will change our lives.
Studying this extraordinary book in a systematic way on the Foundation Programme will enable you to deepen your experience of Buddhism through weekly in-depth teachings, guided meditations and paired discussions. Through this, you will be inspired to live compassionately in the modern world and find lasting peace and happiness.
This book is studied in three sections. Part one will cover the first stage of the Buddhist path, explaining topics such as rebirth, karma and how to protect ourself from future suffering through the practice of Refuge in the Three Jewels.

The Foundation Programme class is held once a week on Saturdays at 2.00-5.30pm. When you enrol for the programme you are enrolling to complete the study of the complete section of the book. However there are many breaks throughout the year for holidays etc.
